Bet when You Have the Best of it Part Two
The primary reason for betting when you believe you have the best of it is clearly because you want to get money in the pot for when you win the poker online hand. Too many hands get checked down by the Everest Poker FR player with the stronger hand, hoping that their opponent will bluff and they can fool them into donking off even more. But betting out often looks like a steal, and often the only way to get your bidding done is to do it yourself. So unless you’re looking to really pull a tricky move later, or you think for certain that your opponent is going to fire, you should be attacking the pot with the best hand.
The other reason for betting in this manner is to avoid letting your best hand become the worst hand. By checking or just calling in positions where you feel certain you are stronger, you are giving your Everest Poker opponent the ability to take control of the pot. He gets a free card, filling in hands that would have folded if you’d better or raised, which can be nightmares when the bellybuster gets filled in for free and they charge you the pot for your mistake.
Slowplaying, though effective in the correct circumstances, is overrated in light of simply getting money in when you feel certain you are there to take it down.
