Skills for Presenting a Great Demonstration

Filed under: Better Multimedia, Better Sales, Markets @ 11:06 pm

Delivering a demonstration can be extremely frightening. However, as with many initially scary things, if you study some of the basic rationales, you will easily begin to start getting better. You can very quickly become highly proficient with your demonstration skills. If you have job interview or are in sales, it is a key skill to acquire.

You need to understand what your main messages are going to be. Then stick rigidly to delivering those messages. Next consider the vector for your messages. Are you going to use a story or simile? Are you just going to give a lecture or are you going to use a question and answer format?

Write out the sales pitch in rough, just like a first draft of a written report. You will find things that are irrelevant or superfluous – delete them. Check the story is consistent and flows smoothly. If there are things you cannot easily express, possibly because of doubt about your understanding, it is better to leave them unsaid.

Script out the story board for your presentation and then work out what visible prompts you can use to signpost your talk. remember that the visual cues are not the talk. Powerpoint should be the aid and not the master. Think about putting optical prompts on your demonstration script so that you recollect when to talk about the next item

Work out how you are going to use your voice. You may even listen to voice-overs artists to work out how you might make yourself sound even better. There are plenty of great voice-over talents out there. Pay attention to how your voice sounds when you talk. Think about what individuals hear and what sounds good.

The radio set can be a great and cheap instructor of voiceover skills. If you think about it, most of the individuals on there would have been to some sort of vocalization coaching master class, so why not make a note of what they do and then simulate them?

Then think about your appearance. You should look smart. Your dress shouldn’t distract from your content, so Do not dress too sexily. There is no point spending a lot of time working out how you are going to sound and ensuring that your voice has been well trained to find that you have a strange habit of nodding or that you look shabby.

Also pay attention to your body language as often the content that you deliver has more to do with the non verbal clues thant the verbal aspects of your content delivery.

To Know is To Not Know

Filed under: Online Self Improvement Resources @ 1:35 pm

This is truer than people might realize. Dig deep, there is a significant powerful truth buried in this statement that can redefine life and create more positive and powerful experiences. As we navigate life, become educated in society, and learn from experiences we inevitably think we know.

We know what people are like, we know what this means and that means, we know what to expect, and we know what will be good and what will be bad. All of these perceptions are defining a reality before it even has a chance to show you something different.

To know is to not know is a statement that drops judgement and allows the experience to demonstrate something new. It also creates an openess for you to discover more; this could be more about you, more about life, more about people, or more about situations. You have still your past experiences there to offer insight and you allow the present experience to reveal more or create something new.

We often say we are not defined by our past. This is the way our life is meant to be and yet, we often are limiting our future based upon past experiences. If this is true in our lives, then we are being defined by our past. All that is needed is a shift in perspective. When the body, emotions, or mind reacts to a situation, person, or whatever, then you want to seize the moment and be curious enough to ask why you are reacting the way you are.

When you are reacting to a situation, it is fear based. This could be a belief, a family emotional trigger, a self-esteem issue, or many other root causes. Being curious and identifying this allows a couple of things to happen. Recognizing the reaction allows you to step back and inquire deeper. This will enable you to discover issues that you can then begin correcting or accepting. Second, stepping back from the reaction for reflection will allow you to respond rather than react. When you are responding to a situation, it is based in peace.

There is so much more that can be explored from this place. Personal power, personal responsibility, accepting responsibilitiy, victimization, emotions, emotional hijacking and sabotage; there are so many depths, twists, and turns along this road of spiritual awareness. Owning and understanding that aspect of your nature allows room for so much of life’s experiences to occur and provide learning. Change is also easier to embrace and navigate.

To know is to not know. I’d just invite you to entertain this possibility and play with it in new situations. Whenever you find a judgement popping up, step back from it and say, “I see you, now let’s just wait and see.” Sometimes, the judgement may be right. Won’t it be wonderful and surprising to experience new truths when the judgement is wrong?

The future of blackjack card counters

Filed under: Online Gambling @ 2:42 am

The question our members are most concerned about is what will be the future of the blackjack card counters. are the days of card counting over? many believe so.

Automatic shuffling is being used in todays tables which makes shuffle tracking or card counting impossible. The land based casinos are going to insert shuffling machines at the tables.

It is said that in places like Las Vegas – Nevada, surveillance cameras are being used to analyze the skill of the players and smart blackjack tables that keep tracks of players hands and strategies using magnetized chips.

The gambling control board in Nevada, an agency that protects the right of both the players and the casinos to ensure fair gaming decided that casinos may not alter the games in a way that would change the frequency of the payouts. Since then, many Nevada casinos train their dealers to count cards and shuffle as they please, and also a wide variety of casinos keeps information of card counters, including names and photos to try and keep them out of the game.

These casinos have big corporations supporting them with huge political power and money influences. The professional blackjack players on the other hand are unknown.

So what will be the future of this blackjack “war”? is it just starting or will it soon reach an end? Despite all their latest technology, political and money influences, I believe there is still a chance for a happy ending. With more than 25 states within the US offering blackjack games legally, there are more profit possibilities for card counters than back in the good old days.

A Personal Budget: a Secure Programme for Financial Freedom

If you’re reading this article, you are probably interested in looking for ways to control your finances. The best way to do this is to create a monthly budget and committing to it. Having a sound budget is essential for managing money, one that has allowed me to live well even on limited funds. One of the most crucial things that I do every month is organise my monthly budget, this has allowed me to consistently meet all expenses, grow my savings, and control debt.

I map out my budget for the coming month on about the 20th of the current month. This gives me a better view of my expenses in the upcoming month. It’s not a good idea to produce a budget after getting paid because, too often, that flush feeling of having a paycheck leads to uneccessary and impulsive spending before the paycheck ever reaches the bank.

Managing my personal budget involves outlining all the things that must be paid that month like mortgage/rent, utilities, and other necessities like insurance, car loan repayment, transportation costs, and phone. These are the things I have pay to keep a adequate roof over my head and carry on earning money. I like to pad these requirements to create “money back” after paying the bills and, if costs increase unexpectedly, I’m always covered.

Next, my budget is subjected to a list of discretionary things I need to cover but could live without if absolutely needed. These items may include monthly savings deposits, credit card repayments, and donations to charity. Don’t get me wrong, some of these things are also necessary, but in case of emergency they can be excepted. By giving credit card companies the maximum instead of the minimum, I keep my credit score high and my debt low.

My budget does not include the cost of living such as food and entertainment. These items get covered by what’s left over and that’s that. Some months involve lots of beans and rice, slow-cooker meals, free or cheap entertainment, and only one inexpensive piece of clothing . This strategy of handling my monthly budget has worked out very well over the long term as long as I honor it religiously.

How Kohlberg, Kravis, Roberts & Co. Works with the Environmental Defense Fund

Filed under: Misc. @ 5:53 am

When Henry Kravis and his business partner George Roberts established Kohlberg, Kravis, Roberts & Co (KKR) in the mid-seventies with the assistance of the First Chicago Corporation, the company’s focus was in “bootstrap” buyouts. Lately aiming to make their acquisitions have less of an ecological impact, KKR have launched an unusual green proposal which has dramatically changed the way business concerns and environmental agencies work together, forever. Green business practices went mainstream last year when Kohlberg, Kravis, Roberts & Co’s Henry Kravis and the New York based Environmental Defense Fund (EDF) joined forces. Their goals include encouraging their associated businesses to tackle operations which may harm the environment like greenhouse gas emissions not to forget any unrestrained consumption of water resources. In order to implement these goals, they use eco-efficiency which uses down-to-earth techniques such as optimizing data centers for efficiency, increasing the durability of products, and reducing the waste of resources. Irrespective of the fact that the project was a tremendous success, no-one understood how extensive the results were until Ken Mehlman, the head of the program and global public affairs, reviewed the numbers for the first year.

Only then did Ken Mehlman realize that applying eco-efficiency was not merely reducing their impact on the planet, but it was also helping to save business concerns a substantial sum of money, making the program almost an instant success. Almost all of the commercial organizations held by KKR and Ken Mehlman at present participate in the Green Portfolio Project. Seeing that the group is worth almost one hundred billion USD, you can see what a feat this actually is.

Kohlberg, Kravis, Roberts & Co with the EDF in association with Ken Mehlman are expanding the original program. To illustrate, KKR got together with the Environmental Defense Fund’s Climate Corps Program that instructs MBA students how to encourage cost-effective, green techniques. KKR and Ken Mehlman have been formulating a variety of metrics and other relevant systems which evaluate and manage resources. Tools like these can track a company’s environmental impact and discover any problem areas.

Henry Kravis, the KKR, and the Environmental Defense Fund are genuine trailblazers in the business community. So, in conclusion, the work of these organizations has made ecologically friendly business practice not only viable, but commercially desirable, and their novel ideas are setting a new standard in today’s business community.

On How to Keep Fit, save Money and the Environment by Riding a Bike

Filed under: Bikes and Tours @ 4:29 am

Bicycling is a wonderful way to improve your aerobic capacity, economise financially, while assisting in keeping the air clean and unpolluted at the same time. Biking also does not impact your muscles in ways that jogging and using gym equipment can. It’s also pragmatic because one is able to keep fit by riding to the shops, or to the workplace, so you don’t have to to put time aside for exercise as nearly all other sorts of exercise impose on you.

But what variety of cycle to buy? A bicycle that is comfortable for you while riding, and has a good number of gears to enable you to take on hills with relative ease – after all, we don’t all live in a completely flat area! One should also be able to lift your bike with comparative ease as you will find yourself needing to do so from time to time, like over a low hurdle. Claud Butler bikes are a good range of bikes to start looking at.

Also ensure you buy the appropriate add-ons for your bike : a pump, front and back light, mudguards, reflector lights, reflective jacket, helmet and strong lock. These will help you keep secure in bad light, and your bicycle secure from robbery. Make sure you lock the bike in a reasonably communal location.

Last of all, it’s a good move to commit some time into bike repairs. There’s no requirement to be a bicycle repair guru, but it’s handy if you can work out how to adjust your brake cables and brake pads as these frequently require fine-tuning after heavy usage. And make sure you keep the bike well lubricated with oil and the tyres pumped up to a reasonable pressure to make biking less difficult. And of course, take great care on the streets – indicate with your arms while turning, and keep on the left on all roads.

Filed under: Finance Web, Managing Credit @ 11:46 pm

Currently thousands of families in Great Britain are up to their neck in debt. At the end of the day, with the current credit crunch it doesn’t take much to leave you with a poor credit score. When you are struck with a bad credit score it can be difficult to be accepted for a loan or a credit card. Sometimes it can take up to 10 years for a credit rating to recover. Banks have now set up accounts specifically introduced for people with a damaged credit score — meaning that there are some feasible alternative options. So here is what you should be aware of.

A bank account for people with bad credit is as simple as any current account, apart from one fundamental difference: your credit history will not be involved. When people ponder second chance bank accounts, they are worried about the high, hidden charges, monthly bank fees, and problems with overdraft fees. Fortunately, this simply is not the truth. In fact, you don’t have to stress over any additional charges when you make the right choice of bank.

Applying on the Internet will let you avoid feeling humiliated in any way and as an additional bonus you will get a reply almost instantly. Thus, if you are tasked to get your finances re-organized, fill in an application for a bad credit bank account without delay.

Filed under: Religion Infos @ 12:46 am

Numerous individuals end up at a time in their life where the next step is not an obvious one. You might be a student who’s just got your degree, or maybe you are in your 60s and just retired from work. Maybe you’ve been laid off from work and feel disheartened at being unemployed, but every bit as discouraged by the sort of work opportunities out there. During times like these, we frequently look for an alternative course of action. An organization known as DNA (dna-uk.org) are proffering a new option – to spend your youth work gap year volunteering for a Christian church.

DNA offer placements in Christian churches, ranging from October to August. This is seen as a “year in with God, not a year out.”, requiring the participant to live inside a Christian surrounding – either inside your own church if you presently belong to one, or a specified church if you’re not currently a fellow member of a church. Your typical day will require helping out with the day-to-day projects of the church, and to be schooled by its fellow members in bible studies. The course guarantees faith in action, so those who join can expect a rather practical experience of living their faith, and not simply the study of it.

Further plus points of the placements include:-

  • faith in action; what you’ll learn is what you’ll do
  • your maturation in understanding, character and skills
  • relational, non-religious Christianity; it’s fun!

There are 3 types of course available : Track 1 is the most popular access point to DNA – it is the most complete DNA expereince. The vast majority of individuals decide that this is the best option for them. Track 2 is more appropriate to you if taking a full “year-out” is not practically feasible. This could be for reasons like job or family commitments. Track 2 therefore offers some tractability. Track 3 proffers individuals the opportunity of coming in to be with us for as many specific training sessions or days as they wish.

Something for Everyone to Take Notice of – Manual Handling

Filed under: Misc. @ 6:42 am

We recommend you hop over to this vast source for health & safety training tips!

Numerous managers believe that, by providing their employees with training in occupational health & safety, they now have everything they might need to cope with an incident. Realistically however, staff need much more than just the basics in safety regulations and risk assessment. You must supply your employees with an enthusiastic supervisor, not to mention equip them properly and give them the opportunity to practice.

A supervisor has a greater purpose to perform than just general management. Your selection of supervisor must agree that health & safety training is crucial and have the ability to share their enthusiasm. On top of encouraging conformity with health & safety regulations, the person supervising as well needs to make certain that employees perform all their tasks to the best of their abilty. Naturally it isn’t easy to do all this at once. Excellent business knowledge is necessary in a supervisory role in addition to an advanced knowledge of current regulations involving safety, risk appraisal and emergency assistance techniques.

It simply isn’t adequate to offer your employees health & safety education. Your employees have to get practical experience of risk assessment and the recognition of hazards. They have to understand how to eradicate safety hazards as well as understanding what to do if the worst happens. Employees are only totally prepared when everything has become routine.

Instruction is in fact useless without the necessary safety supplies. When they are lacking the equipment they need, or find that they’re not working correctly when they are needed, the training they have undergone is wasted. It’s a good idea to inspect often to make sure you possess all the necessary gear and to ensure it’s functioning correctly as well. If piece of equipment does not meet the pertinent criteria, ensure that it’s remedied quickly and return it to the proper location. Health & safety instruction is essential for the safety of your workers, however they also require good quality equipment, frequent practise drills, and a knowledgeable supervisor who can get staff excited about being healthy at work. And then abiding by health & safety legislation will before long be established in the culture of your business not an inconvenience everyone has to attempt to remember.
