Golf Related Back Problems

Filed under: Sports Resources @ 5:48 am

Reducing their score is not the only worry on golfer’s minds these days. PGA players and amateur golfers suffer from back problems that don’t just hurt their backs but their scores as well. Reducing back problems may be the most important concern for golfers looking to for long term enjoyment from the game. PremierMassageChair.org offers golfers better back pain solutions than simply hanging up the clubs.

Tight back muscles are the leading cause of golf related back problems. The twisting and turning action that is required to play golf, takes its toll on the spine and back muscles. Injuries are far more likely when muscles are cold, so measures should be taken to warm the back up before, during and after golf. Golfers should warm up slowly and stretch with caution. It is also wise to try and walk as much of the golf course as possible verses riding to keep the body from cooling down between shots.

A very enjoyable and effective method for warming up the back is to use massage chairs. High end massage chairs offer quality massages for a fraction of the price of visiting a professional massage therapist. Some models such as the Premier Health Products PHP-2026 offer heat and vibration in addition to the standard massage functions. Heat is an excellent way to loosen back muscles before and after golf.

Another massage chair that provides a good measure of back pain relief is the Premier Health Products PHP-2022. This model offers a zero gravity reclining feature and an inversion therapy massage feature that offers relief for overused spines. This PHP-2022 has all of the traditional massage chair features plus these additional reclining features for less than two thousand dollars. You will be amazed at how loose your back feels after just fifteen minutes in a Premier massage chair.

Why Golf Exercise Is The Key To The Correct Golf Swing Release

Filed under: Sports Resources @ 5:43 am

A poor golf swing release has been one of the factors responsible for dozens of injuries that have kept many golfers off the course, some of them for good.

Failure of applying the correct technique, apart from giving you poor results in your game can also result in all manner of injuries. Many of these injuries leave a golfer in great pain. They include injuries like low back, rotator cuff and elbow overuse injuries.

This is precisely the reason why products like the Sports FitKit have been so successful and widely accepted. It allows golfers to do simple exercises that have a positive impact on the golf swing release. One of the things that these exercises do is increase the shoulder turn.

Not only does this single aspect greatly reduce on the chances of the golfer being injured, but it also results in much greater driving distance and the correct golf swing release to achieve it.

How else can a golfer increase their shoulder turn without the risk of injury? How else does any golfer achieve the right golf swing release?

Golf exercise and using the right products recommended by experts in the field, is really the only way to make an impact on your golf swing release and your game in general.

Actually golf exercise products have an additional advantage that many golfers have quickly embraced. And this is the fact that they are quick and easy to use.

Many golfers would otherwise be completely unable to stick to a regular exercise routine if it were not quick and easy to use. This means that they just a need a little spare time off their regular schedule to quickly use the product.

The other advantage is the effectiveness of the exercises in quickly improving a persons’ game in general including their golf swing release.

What a Load of Golf Balls

Filed under: Sports Resources @ 12:36 pm

Through out the history of golf the golf ball has evolved more than any other piece of equipment used in the game. From the very first wooden balls followed by the feathery to the latest 4 piece, high energy core, tungsten weighted, titanium, super thin covered, go further go straighter last forever golf ball, advances in science and the materials used in manufacturing has taken that little white thing to a new level of performance.

At the moment in my shop I have 36 different balls to choose from and there are plenty more types I could stock. This being the case it is difficult for a golfer to choose which is the right ball for them especially when they all claim to be the best thing since the couch potato was given the remote control.

The Number one

Titleist golf balls have been known for many years as ‘The Number 1 Ball in Golf’ and it is true that more tour players across the world use a Titleist ball. Some golfers think that if Ernie Els is playing with a Titleist then they should play with a Titleist as well, however, that is not necessarily the case. Believe it or not in amongst this huge selection there is the right ball for you and the ball you choose to play with needs to suit your requirements and level of skill.

In my opinion the huge range of golf balls on the market can be broken down into 5 categories.

1) Budget

2) Hard

3) Medium

4) Soft

5) Swing speed

If you are a beginner, or lose a lot of golf balls, then buying budget balls is the best thing to do. These are often packaged in 15 ball boxes and are a hard durable ball that will generally go further when you hit them. The draw back of this ball is that it is very lively off of the club face and when it comes to chipping and putting can lack some of the soft feel that some golfers prefer.

The harder golf balls such as Topflite XL 3000, or Callaway CB1 are perfect for the golfer who doesn’t lose too many balls but could do with more distance off the tee. These balls are not as hard as the budget type, but are durable and offer some feel around the green although they still won’t stop very quickly on landing.

If you want the combination of distance, feel and durability then balls such as the Titleist NXT Tour, the Callaway Hex 2 or the Strata Tour Straight are ideal. These are all what I call a medium ball giving the golfer consistent performance in all areas.

The top players in the world all use soft golf balls. Up until about 4 years ago the cover of the ball was actually soft enough to mark with your finger nail and marked very easily when miss hit. This meant that only the best ball strikers, or golfers with more money than sense, would use them. These days the covers on these balls are very durable and the ball will spin and stop very quickly on and around the greens.
The leading balls in this category are Titleist Pro V1, Callaway Hex, Strata Tour Ace, Hogen Apex Tour and the Maxfli M3. These balls are manufactured to the highest specification and quality and every golfer could play and enjoy them. They are however very expensive at about £10 for 3 balls if you are a bit wayward with your shots then it could cost a fortune in golf balls.

When it comes to swing speed some players just cannot swing the golf club very quickly. If this is the case some manufacturers are now making balls specifically for those of you who struggle to get any distance because you just can’t hit it hard enough! The Maxfli Noodle ball is perfect for anyone who has a slow swing and they are durable and affordable.

Whichever ball you choose, try to stick with that ball every time you play. You will get used to the feel and performances of the ball, which in turn will help, play more consistent golf.

The History of the Inaugural Ski Holidays to Chamonix Haute Savoie France

Filed under: Recreation Center, Travel Hub @ 10:29 pm

As far back as 1770 the 1st lodge was opened up in Chamonix Mont Blanc. Before this date Chamonix Mont Blanc France constituted a uncivilized and craggy rural village where the populace caught their own animals and produced their own oats.

Farms at that time were used to stock cows over the summer months. The cows milk was preserved by turning it into cheeses and stocked in the valley for eating during the cruel winter times. During the snow season the barns were locked up, and all valued possessions were put safely in a tiny hut.

Who came up with catered chalet holidays is obscured by time, it was probably various passionate people who acknowledged a set up which people liked. For entrepreneur Erna Low it all began whilst she was a unhappy graduate and could not visit her folks back home in Austria as frequently as she liked. Therefore in 1930 she took a gamble and placed a small ad in the London Times to tempt clients on a skiing holiday. For £15 they travelled to and from the town, had breakfast and dinner and accommodation in the solitary chalet, and took ski hire and tuition. Skiing was hard , there weren’t any skiing lifts, no safety fixations, just heavy leather boots, it was so successful that Erna Low carried on taking friends on breaks, ensuring she sourced grand accommodations and ski instructors.

These ski breaks in the beginning were very different from the standards we can have today. In the early days hot water was in short supply, washrooms were shared with all of the clients, and there was no a chef; all the punters were expected to help out with the chores. No one knew who might share the accommodation for a week, one might be agreeably surprised by meeting new skiers, or grimaced by the thought of spending another day with unpleasant guests.

skiing holidays were later on advertised on its other benefits. Your own cook, who served you breakfast and dinner and prepared you cakes, private bathrooms warm water for bathing.

How Fitness Has Changed The Face Of The PGA Tour

Filed under: Sports Resources @ 8:25 pm

Professional golfers on the tour today are approaching fitness as they never have before. PGA players look to fitness for many of its benefits. Fitness can improve their game through gains in strength, flexibility, and stamina. They can prevent or minimize injuries. Playing golf is not only a recreation for PGA players, it is their job. Their financial success depends on tournament results. Therefore, they must not only maintain a superb golf game, but a fit body as well.

There are few players on tour who have not have revamped their fitness training techniques or gotten a fresh start within the last few years. Many players have looked to the concept of functional fitness for golf. With functional fitness for golf, players can be assured that they are effectively targeting muscles and joints used in their golf swing. This type of exercise programming gives them an advantage over their competition.

How exactly do the PGA players train? First, their fitness level is determined. It is a common practice for golfers to create goals for their golf game. It is popular to also produce fitness goals. Second, a personalized exercise program is generated which involves weight training and endurance improvement. Third, the exercise program must be followed on a consistent basis to achieve maximum results. PGA players have a busy schedule and must make time to fit in their workouts.

Even if you are a recreational golfer you can still follow the trend of being functionally fit for golf. It would be wise to have your fitness level determined by a certified fitness professional. You might not workout at the same level as Tiger Woods, but you will see benefits in your body and golf game.

Many professional golfers are spending less time on the course and more time in the weight room. They have seen concrete results through longer drives and increased stamina. Top level golfers are always searching for ways to rise above their competition. Adding fitness to their training regimen provides the step up to the next level.

Guide to Texas Auto Insurance Coverage Laws and Requirements

Filed under: Car Lovers, Finance Web, Insurance Options @ 5:42 pm

Texas Insurance Legal Requirements

  • Bodily Injury Liability (one person): $25,000 Limit
  • Bodily Injury Liability (every person involved):$50,000 Limit
  • Property Damage Liability: $25,000 Limit

*As of 4/1/08,these increased requirements went into effect

In Texas, one individual must always be found blameable for causing an accident and they, along with their auto insurance agency, are financially responsible for paying for ensuant costs. This system is known as the tort system. There are various other states that abide by this kinde of system, but specific principles and regulations may vary by state.

Within Texas, you can add extra insurance coverage to your auto insurance policy that can allow additional protection. Two different alternatives are Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist or No-Fault insurance coverage. Uninsured/underinsured coverage is elective insurance coverage that covers you against people who do not have an auto insurance policy. If you’re burdened in an auto accident with them, you can help cover liabilities with your own insurance underwriter. With No fault insurance, you will be covered by your insurer irrespective of who is detected to be answerable. In the state of Texas, you aren’t bounded by law to have additive coverage higher than the amount required. Nevertheless, there are plenty of Texas motorists that opt to add these alternatives.

In Texas, residents are paying a little more on auto insurance costs than what’s average in the U.S. The state average auto insurance rate was slightly over $900 while during the same year, the national average was a bit lower. The government does not entirely control insurance quotes even though numerous Texans are under the wrong premiss that there is one set cost for insurance. This just is false – there are plenty of ways that you can get more affordable rates on your auto insurance. Your Texas auto insurance rates can be decreased in many ways. Two different ways are by sustaining a safe and sound driving record or by taking a defensive driving class.

Using insurance websites can give you the ability to ascertain if you’re paying too much for your auto insurance coverage. These internet sites will help you get discounts on your policy by comparing insurance quotes right away. Many also have posts with information on getting the cheapest rates.

These insurance quote comparison sites can help you save money, but it isn’t a guarantee to always keeping your auto insurance costs low. Insurance Auto insurance expenses generally grow over the years. 2007 saw the first decrease in insurance expenses since 1999. The lessening was around 1% and the decrases continued through most of 2008. However, by the end of 2008, costs again began to grow.

Insurance costs fluctuate over the years and if you don’t at least look into getting cheaper costs, you may end up paying more than you have to. Auto insurance fluctuates and recently there was an increase of 6% from 2002 to 2003. You won’t see your insurance company always telling you about discount rates and overall, expenses get more expensive over time. To get discount expenses, get a free rate quote from an auto insurance comparison company.

Keep The Yellow Golf Shirt In The Bag

Filed under: Sports Resources @ 2:19 am

Another beautiful day, out on the golf course, and I’m feeling like a million bucks wearing my bright yellow golf shirt, and the girl I want to meet, is just a golf hole ahead of me.

There she goes, off the tee box. Right down the middle of the fairway on number 2 hole. The last time I was out here, she faded it right into the bunker, just next to my favorite ball placement. I missed my golden opportunity to meet her at that time. I pull hooked the ball on the opposite side of the fairway.

Maybe we’ll meet a couple holes down. She has to come back down number 3, and I should be teeing off number 2-tee box at the same time. Maybe I’ll impress her with a beautiful drive, straight and long down the fairway. Worst-case scenario will be another long hook out into her fairway this time. I wonder if she’ll stop and watch me fly the trees, hitting back to the green?

Here we go. I see that her drive on number 3 landed left side of the fairway. I better tee this puppy up and let it fly. If I’m going to impress her, now is the time. With this bright yellow golf shirt on, there is no way that she will not notice me. I’m sure I’ll stand out. This is my golden opportunity.

Great golf shot happening here! It is flying way out of sight! I see her looking over as the ball lands and rolls. Wow! I think I did it! All I have to do is proudly walk down the middle of the fairway. I feel like a pro with this yellow golf shirt on, taking the turn at the Masters. Now all I have to do is keep a straight face, as if it’s routine, and walk down the left side of the middle. That would bring me a little closer, without having to yell, to say hi. I better figure out quickly what to say, just in case she compliments me on a nice golf shot.

Oh great! I hit it so far. The foursome ahead of me is yelling and waving. I completely forgot to wait until they were out of reach. How embarrassing is this going to be? I am the only golfer in my group out on the fairway. All my golf buddies are on the other side of the fairway. How do you try to impress someone with a great golf shot, only to find out, the shot almost hit someone? This is not good. What’s even worse? I think her parents are walking my way. Great! Let’s meet the parents!

Perfect timing! My buddies need a hand on the other side of the fairway to look for a lost ball! It’s a good thing I carry an extra shirt, just in case it rains. I think I should change this bright yellow golf shirt on the opposite side of the fairway. First impression is going to have to wait.

Tom Brady: New England Patriots Quarterback

Filed under: Sports Resources @ 7:18 pm

A native of San Mateo, California, Thomas Edward Patrick Brady Jr. was born on August 3, 1977. He is currently the quarterback of the NFL’s New England Patriots. In his early years, Brady enjoyed watching professional football games. Attending San Francisco 49ers games on a regular basis during the 1980s, he quickly became a fan of then quarterback Joe Montana.

After graduating from Junipero Serra High School, Tom Brady chose to attend the University of Michigan who he led to a 1999 Orange Bowl victory. In light of his obvious talent, Brady found his way into the 2000 NFL Draft where he was selected in the 6th round by the New England Patriots. Since his affiliation with the team began, Tom Brady has helped lead the Patriots to three Super Bowl victories and, in the process, was awarded Super Bowl MVP recognition on two occasions. In 2005, Tom Brady was also named Sports Illustrated’s Sportsman of the Year.

As far as accomplishments are concerned, Tom Brady holds a number of records, including the highest single-game and single-season quarterback rating, the NFL record for most consecutive wins in post season, most completions in a Super Bowl, etc.

The upcoming 2006 NFL season will mark the first since Brady’s surgery to repair the sports hernia that he suffered earlier. After an extensive training regimen, Tom Brady plans to be back in action for the new season and hopes to help his teammates recover from the offseason loss of athletes who have since left the team. In addition to his obvious talent on the field, Tom Brady finds success in other ventures. Having guest-starred on The Simpsons, Family Guy and hosting a 2005 episode of Saturday Night Live are just a few of his notable accomplishments away from football. Brady has also appeared on the big screen with a cameo spot in the film Stuck On You, which was released in 2003. In January 2004, Tom Brady was welcomed as a guest of President George W. Bush to the annual State of the Union Address.

Homeschooling – Shape Your Child’s Future

Filed under: Tuition Parlor @ 12:30 pm

Schooling at home is called homeschooling. This is where children are educated at home, either by their parents, or by private tutors. Homeschooling has become popular these days especially with kids whose parents have a shifting job. This is more convenient, as shifting schools is not only a problem for the parents, but also it may disturb the child’s study cycle.

Why go for home schooling?

Many parents also believe that home schooling can provide their children a custom and complete education, which many believe is inaccessible in private or public schools. Home schooling is known to be the traditional method of teaching. Some parents also feel that along with education on various subjects, religious education is equally necessary. Most times it is not available in public schools. It may be available in private schools, but they may be too expensive for the family to afford, or faith taught in schools may be different from their family religion.

Know your child’s learning style:

The parents should see to it that their children are not debarred from any of the education available in schools. Try to study your child and observe his or her interests. Some children show signs from a very early age. They may be into outdoor games, like to play with colors or music. Some may like mechanical stuff like counting and building blocks, modeling clay, putting lego together, or they may like to read, or listen to recordings of storybooks. This way you will know how to deal with them, teach them, and mould their interests. Children learn in different ways; by touching and handling things, by listening, and by visual methods like reading. They tend to be very inquisitive and love to learn new things.

You can get DVD’s and instructional videos about life, science, geography etc. This way they will be exposed to a wide concept about everything around them. National Geographic has come up with lovely series which are very informative. You can get these DVD’s from stores, and they are easily available these days. Interesting and stimulating videos will help the children develop their mental faculties and will entertain them at the same time.

Teaching at home is much less expensive, as for a private school you will end up paying up to amounts of $3500 or more. But never try to skimp on this expense. Try and set aside a specified amount for home school supplies so that you would not have to compromise on their quality of education. This way you can buy those encyclopedia Britannica DVD’s or painting brushes you need, without affecting your family budget.

Homeschooling has its own benefits. Your children would always be under your watch. Also you would know about their progress, so if they are lagging behind in some subjects, you would be able to help them. Sometimes you may have to face volumes of questions from other parents which may not be very encouraging, but that should not discourage you from what you are doing, because you would know what’s best for your children. Never forget that it is the outcome that is important so always focus your educational goals.
